 This is a Burgundy Ball Python. Many breeders own snakes that look similar to this specimen, many of them are still trying to prove them genetic. They also go by the name of chocolate hypos but I prefer Burgundy since the brown is a nice "brick red". This snake was imported into the country as a young adult and has been here for a number of years. I acquired her this past fall and paired her with a het albino male. I figured that I could get a jump on a double het project if she does prove to be genetic. The het albino male has bred her on many occasions and all signs are pointing to eggs. I will be holding all the female offspring and one male. Next season she will be bred to an albino male to get definite double het offspring.
